Vivint Didn’t Deliver the Service They Promised

I have had numerous issues with the Vivint equipment I purchased. With any other company, it would still be under warranty/returnable. The doorbell mistakenly indicates that there are people at the door, when there are not. thermostat stays offline. I fix it and hours later, it’s offline again. I’d be on the phone with Vivint every single day if I called every time thermostat went offline. The door lock has malfunctioned and i was unable to get into my home using the app or the keypad. When i called support, they blamed the battery, but once i was able to get in the house and reset the door using the key, it worked again with no battery change. Vivint Misleading Offers by Ads or Sales Reps, Service Wasn’t What I Was Promised and they Won’t Let Me Cancel, Wrongly Sent my Account to Collections or Impacted my Credit Score

The company sent a high pressure salesperson to my home who wore me down after three hours convincing me to sign the contract. I was told it could be cancelled. After multiple problems with the system and very poor customer service, we tried to cancel the service after paying for it for over two years. The company did not accept the cancellation and continued sending bills. They then sent collection notices and we received tons of automated phone calls from them. February 2019 we moved out of a rental that had vivint that we were paying for and was told that our account would be on a deferment till we get a new place. Vivint continued to charge us for 2 months. May 2019 my husband called them to get a refund and told him that he needed to email them to cancel the account, which he did, and then they would refund. He called several times over the summer and never got a refund. Now I have picked up where he left off and started calling them sense late October 2019. I have received calls about alarms going off at my residence which I never heard of I dont have a account with this company both calls I recieved one at 12am and again a separate one weeks later at another resident I never heard of I have tried to call company and have my number removed telling them I dont know about these resident how my number got on a call list for a alarm going off it getting to be ridiculous I want to sue them maybe that will stop this

I set up 15 accounts with Vivint to monitor all of my offsite work locations. They were to install 3-4 cameras at each location plus a 1 gig cloud based hard drive called a “space monkey”. The hard drive would allow me to record 30 days of activity. Without them I can only review 24 hrs. I never received them. I worked with them for over 1 year attempting to get these. Inventory shortages, inability to ship them to a single locations, etc were the excuses given. I stopped paying and now have a $22,000 collection on my credit.
