A salesman came to my house representing Vivint and I refused but My personal information was ran threw the credit bureau anyway without me consent or knowledge or me even giving the salesman any information except first name so how did he get my information to do so
Deceptive marketing and faulty equipment and installation.
My 3 cameras and panel has been hacked and jammed. It’s caused 2 alarm triggers, one I was home to disable it. The second one I was home and the police showed up. Video clips have being deleted and setting are being adjusted. Sometimes infront my face as I’m standing at the panel.
The salesman said they he was giving away free equipment. I triple checked and asked multiple times that the equipment being installed was completely free? He said yes I would just be charged the monthly service fee. This turns out was not the case. I have filed for a cancellation but they will not do it until the equipment is paid for. They said I verbally agreed on the phone call confirming. I said no I didn’t. I agreed to the service all the while the salesman is standing there feeding me more lies about how he was doing a soft credit check and in fact getting me to do a loan. I requested a copy of that phone call as well as my contract all of which I never received.
Service Rep: Jared Bautista. Jared sold me on a home security system and said I could cancel at any time and i could ship back their product. IE: Internet Router for ISPs.
The sales person told us that the payment would be only 50 dollars. Then we found out that by signing the contract we took out a loan or credit card that we were not told about. They deceived and lied to us because we would of never signed up.
I was told the equipment was but it wasn’t. Their web site said they have 3 prices 39.99, 49.99, and 59.99 I’m paying around 85.00.
I have had 2 vehicle break ins in the time that I have had Vivint. The cameras do not catch it and since I have had this service it has never worked the way they sold us on, any time we call with a concern they try selling us more equipment which is there way of keeping you in a buy out contract. I do not have $1400.00 to buy out equipment that I do not want due to its lack of reliability. Sadly the first robbery was the cause of me losing my job due to the fact that it was a company vehicle that got broken into (that was in my cameras view)
William Huddleston showed up at my door on 5/11/19. He said he was in the area looking for people to try Vivant home security free for 6 months to see if vivints services were right for them. He told us that within the 6 months we could change our minds at any time. We decided since it was supposedly risk free with the trial period that we would give it a try. We scheduled installation for Monday 5/13/19, and the installers were prompt and installed a doorbell camera, backyard camera, thermostat, control hub, water sensor, fire sensor. All items worked fine and we had no issues with the functionality of the system. Immediately after the installers left our house on 5/13/19 we received
