In January ,I, in good faith, applied for a Delta Sky Miles American Express Credit card and expected 60,000 bonus miles,if I spent at least $3000 on the card within 3 months. I did that. However, when I called American Express on June 1st and 2nd of 2020 they informed me that I did not meet the requirement and that I should have seen a drop down box saying I was denied the bonus miles during my original online application process. I either did not see this box or misunderstood it during their welcoming message. I purchased a prepaid card from 711 while on vacation in another state. and loaded $180cash on to it at the register. I then activated the card and added it to mypaypal,I sent a payment to a friend of $60 and my car was then locked and I was unable to use the funds I loaded onto it. even after verification terms were met both over the phone and through sending documents and a photo of the receipt the phone reps were rude and wouldn’t tell me what this was all about or why this issue came to be I have now been told that they were closing my account because they couldn’t verify my identity which is wrong because I sent them clear photos of everything they asked for and also a reciept….

I am a volunteer for an abused women organization and had been using certain prepaid visas to give to women that needed to pay for things online like rent, utilities, transportation etc when one of the women needed cash for rent so we called NetSpend together because the card was in her name to see if I could legally use her card so I could give her the cash amount that was on it and they said as long as I had the password and was authorized to use it then yes I could and she got on the phone and gave them my name and I also set another password. I paid for Identity Theft protection For 4 years. In that time CFPB found/fined Discover 200 million for unsafe, deceptive, acts & told to refund and notify Card holders charged in writing Why they’re receiving this refund, and to stop charging for “the add on product as it did not deliver as promised. I later found Experian (the provider for the ID Theft product) sole my info to a person selling “fullz” and was getting paid for it. I had massive fraud on my statements and disputed these charges to no avail. I was thwarted that my only recourse was with the merchants. I had a Quicksilver Account with a balance of $702 and cash rewards of $294. Because of poor customer service over the phone, I decided to close my account and use my rewards cash to pay down my balance.
