HughesNet customer service lied to me about the price and it didn’t work as advertised

I responded to an ad in the mail and got HughesNet on 1/18/20. I was told 2-year contract for $29.95 a month for 6 months and $59.95 for 18 months thereafter. I have NEVER received anything in writing from them. I don’t stream anything, I just need internet and phone. Charges on my cell phone went way over my customary allotment while trying to deal with their poor internet/phone connection. They charged my credit card $29.93 on 1/19/20, then an additional $4.59 on 1/21/20. Now, an additional $101.71 on 2/21/20.

HughesNet customer service lied to me about the price and it didn’t work as advertised

I was taking online courses and also working a contract labor job when using this cheaply made, crappy, worthless, slow, expensively priced internet service. Causing me to not be able to complete, and lost wages.

HughesNet customer service lied to me about the price and it didn’t work as advertised

Terrible service with or without data. Paid $150 for 50G of data – service was still terrible. Called to complain. Sent the same Technician out 3x & he never fixed anything. Told me they would compensate with free data, never happened. Charged me for Tech coming out -even though they said they wouldn’t. Never told me about a two year contract – which I would have never agreed with, they are manipulative and spout incessant lies. Didn’t inform me of data caps on initial call. Told me they would give me $130 credit after spending hours on the phone trying to fix issues. That never happened. I still have a $70.00 bill – even though I was promised $130 credit last month & dropped my plan down to

HughesNet service didn’t work as advertised

I was told that I will have fast high speed internet where I am at, they came and installed it and in within three day’s I saw that this was a huge lie, even in the first day I gave it a chance because of how slow it was, my family runs a business from home and we have to have someone decent internet to work, but we can’t even do that because we can’t even have more then one tab open at a time and no barely and one can be on it without causing the other to slow down or stop completely, they lied to me about the speed and expect me to pay each month for a service that can’t even meet what they are selling

HughesNet Charged me after cancellation, customer service lied to me and it didn’t work as advertised

I had signed up with HughesNet satellite internet service as they had promised 25 MB/sec download speed which was faster than what I was getting with Comcast. The installer was very unprofessional. He had a long unkempt beard and he did not do a proper installation. He had to come back the next day to get it to work at all. His vehicle broke down. When the installer had finished the installation I asked what speed I was getting. He was evasive, never giving me a direct answer. It was overcast at the time. He then asked me to sign a contract which I did as I knew that I would have no internet at all if did not. I would not have signed if I had known what download speed I was getting. I soon
