Problem with your Credit One statement or account? Looking to resolve an issue? You need customer service and you need it now. But how do you get great customer service and avoid long holds and computerized menus? We explain how.
Credit One Bank, headquartered in Nevada, is a bank specializing in credit cards. The line of credit cards offered by Credit One is known as credit building cards. In broad terms, this means that the cards typically start with a lower credit limit and increase with a history of on-time payments. Credit building credit cards can have a higher interest rate and some have an annual fee.
As with most institutions that provide a wide array of products, customer service is not as simple as calling a single 800 number. There are a large number of ways to contact customer service, and which one works best for you will depend on the product you have and what you need from customer service.
Contact for Existing Credit One Customers
If you are a customer, you can reach automated account information by calling 1-877-825-3242 from within the United States or 1-702-405-2042 outside the United States. The automated service is available 24/7.
For General Correspondence, credit protection, written correspondence or if you have questions about potential errors on your bill:

As with most banks, Credit One has a full-service website to handle most of your needs online. From the website, you can:
Unlike many large banks, there is not a chat feature for customer service, nor is there an email address available. In reading online reviews, the selection of products works well for consummers, but contacting customer service does seem to be problematic. There does not seem to be a way to speak to a customer service representative easily, and customers feel trapped by endless automated loops -when calling the phone numbers.
If you have difficulty in contacting Credit One, call 1-877-825-3242 and enter option 1 or option 7. Technically, this is to report a lost or stolen credit card or check on the status of a current application, but you will be connected with a live person. From there, you can explalin your problem and asked to be connected to a non-automated customer service specialist.
You also have the option to reach out via the Credit One Facebook Page or find them on Twitter. However you choose to reach customer service at Credit One, perseverance is crucial. Written correspondence is also an effective way to voice your concerns over any difficulties. Make sure you keep a copy for your records, and if the correspondence is important, consider sending it via certified mail.
Credit Card Applications
To apply for a credit card through Credit One, you have two options. You can apply online at their website or by calling 1-800-752-5493. Credit One also sends out offers via mail, and the offer will contain your personalized invitation to apply with instructions on how to do so.
Lost or Stolen Cards
If you need to report a lost or stolen card, you can do so 24/7 at 1-877-825-3242 or you can also report it stolen from the app, which is available in the app store for iOS products or from Google Play. The app also allows you to check your balance, make a payment and reach customer service.
