Need help getting the Postmates refund you’re owed? You may have legal options
Have you ordered something from Doordash but it wasn’t what you had delivered? Maybe there was a problem with your subscription. Now you want to know if you can get a refund.
According to the DoorDash terms, the company issues no refunds. Under their payment terms they say that any charges you pay for a completed and delivered order are final and are therefore non-refundable. The company is not obligated to give you a refund or credit.
However, this very specifically applies only to situations where you already completed in order and it was delivered to you. Therefore there is a bit of leeway in situations where you are trying to cancel a current order that hasn’t been delivered, or there was an issue with delivery.
The company also says in these terms that they may choose to grant a refund or account credit at their sole discretion on a case-by-case basis. This means there is the potential to get a refund if you deserve it.
The help section states that if there was an issue with your order, something wasn’t properly delivered or what was delivered simply wasn’t what you ordered, you have to submit a report to the support team.
You need to sign in to the website or use the application, pick the order that you have an issue with from your orders drop down menu, and use the help feature for that order to discuss what went wrong, enter any details, and submit it to customer service.
In situations like this, the company reserves the right to potentially issue a refund for all or some of the order.
According to the terms, you can cancel a promotional subscription or trial subscription at any time and if you were a participant in a free trial you can cancel within the first 48 hours that you paid for your subscription and get a full refund.
If you were a monthly subscriber you can cancel your subscription within the first 48 hours and they can refund you at their discretion. If you are an annual subscriber you can cancel within the first 30 days and they may or may not refund your annual fee, again, at their discretion.
The terms stipulate that if you cancel your subscription at any other time, you won’t get a refund but you will get reduced fees.
If the company cancels your subscription, they will give you a refund for the subscription fee on a prorated basis.
If your transaction involves alcohol which is available in some locations and from certain Merchants, you agree that you are 21 years or older or that you are of legal age in what other country you are in. You also agreed to provide a valid, government-issued ID at the time of the delivery to prove that you are the right age. If you are unable to provide a valid ID at delivery or the name on your ID doesn’t match the name on the order, or you are visibly intoxicated when the order is delivered, you are subject to a non-refundable fee of $20.
In some situations DoorDash doesn’t get back to you in a timely fashion and they don’t resolve the issue. If they don’t issue the refund that you deserve, something that is eligible under their contracts, you can try consumer arbitration. With our service, you get help reach out to DoorDash and explore your remaining options for a refund.
Consumer arbitration is a legal option you have laid out in your user agreement and it gives you a way to have an independent party look at the situation and potentially force DoorDash to fix the problem and issue the refund you deserve. We can help.

Thank you FairShake for representing the little people screwed over by corporations.
I was having problems with the company for months. That you could make it resolved in a few days is wonderful.
It's not right what Big Business can get away with if we let them. People need to know someone is out there to help!
