How to Get Better Midco Customer Service

Not getting results from Midco customer service? You may have options to escalate…

When you have a problem with Midco’s service, you’d like your issues to be resolved promptly and efficiently. Unfortunately, sometimes receiving good customer service can be like pulling teeth. Cable companies aren’t exactly known for their consumer-friendly policies, so there are a few specific steps you should take to increase your chances of success.

First of all, no matter how frustrated you become, always remain respectful with any customer service representative you speak to. If you become irate, even other representatives may be less likely to help you. Also, there may be specific codes of conduct specified in the contract you signed when first purchasing services from the company — cursing or shouting may cause you issues down the road.

You’ll also need to be willing to try a few different options. Unfortunately, Midco’s customer service might not help you the first go around. In fact, if they had, you probably wouldn’t be reading this article in the first place. So, if your chosen customer support option — chat, phone, e-mail, in-person — doesn’t work, you might need to try another.

Try Midco’s Phone Customer Support

There’s only one number known for Midco’s customer service phone support, which is (800) 888-1300.

  • When attempting to get good customer service, try to talk to a human. Ask for a customer service representative, or press “0” when met with robotic prompts. (Though it doesn’t work for all services, pressing “0” is a common command used to reach a real representative.)
  • If you do reach a human, try to keep documentation of any promises that are made. Write down names, ask for confirmation e-mails, and make copies of anything you can.
  • When speaking to phone agents (or any other customer service representatives), remain calm and polite.

Online Options

If you’re unable to receive support through the phone, you’re not out of luck. Midco has more online options than phone options, from a variety of social media pages to a customer service chat.

  • Live Chat: The live customer care chat is only open during certain hours. Monday through Friday, the chat is open from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. CT. On Saturday and Sunday, the chat is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT. There may be a waiting period.
  • Facebook: Midco’s official Facebook page is pretty active. In fact, whoever runs the page tends to respond to messages within hours. This can be an effective way to get a quick answer or to receive some public assurance. Messages can be sent privately or posted publicly.
  • LinkedIn: Although Midco has a LinkedIn account, it’s not recommended to attempt to receive customer support by posting on it.
  • Reddit: Reddit is becoming increasingly popular in both marketing and customer service. Midco is no exception, and while their Reddit account isn’t very active, they do seem to respond to customer service concerns.
  • TwitterMidco’s Twitter page is active during certain hours: 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. CT, every day. Users have the option to send direct messages to Midco’s Twitter team, or post public messages to them.
  • YouTubeMidco’s YouTube page isn’t used for customer service. However, there are some video tutorials that can be helpful in some cases. This account isn’t the most active, and comments aren’t always responded to.

Go In Person

Midco doesn’t just have virtual customer service options. At a customer experience center, consumers have the option to speak with a representative face-to-face. This provides the benefit of not risking disconnection, along with having the comfort of talking to another human.

Customer experience centers can be found in some cities in certain states. They’re only open at certain hours depending on the location. Each store is open from Monday to Friday, with some having additional availability on Saturday.
