Some AT&T customers challenged by COVID-19 will get more time with their bills.

The Dallas telecommunications and media company is extending a program that frees residential users and small businesses from late-payment penalties. The relief will now reach to the end of June – the close of AT&T’s quarter.

The program was first announced March 13 and was set to last for 60 days into next month.

The effort is for those “who notify us that they are unable to pay their bills due to disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic,” AT&T said on its website.
