The Texas Supreme Court will consider whether the Houston Astros may proceed with claims against Comcast Corp. and the teamâs previous owner for allegedly inflating the projected revenues from broadcasting the teamâs games to induce the sale of the franchise.
The state high court on June 3 granted the petitions of Comcast, which held a stake in the Astros broadcast rights; former team owner McClane Champions LLC; and stakeholder R. Drayton McLane Jr. to review the decision of a Texas appeals court greenlighting the Astrosâ lawsuit.
