T-Mobile US Inc. and plaintiffs’ attorneys in a series of data breach class action lawsuits argued for case consolidation at a Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation hearing on Thursday but couldn’t agree on the most appropriate venue.
A T-Mobile attorney moved for case consolidation in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, boasting its centrality and lack of judicial vacancies, while an attorney for plaintiff Veera Daruwalla argued the Western District of Washington would be best, since that’s where T-Mobile’s headquarters is located.
