Forbes reports Uber Eats Partners Up With Leafly To Deliver Marijuana In Toronto

Marijuana consumers in Toronto woke up on Monday, October 17, with the opportunity to order marijuana products thanks to a partnership between Uber Eats, the online food ordering and delivery platform launched by Uber in 2014., and Leafly, an online cannabis marketplace and information resource.

According to Leafly, this is the first time a cannabis delivery will be available on a major third-party delivery platform worldwide.

Marijuana consumers over 19 can now place orders from local licensed cannabis retailers in the Uber Eats app and have it delivered to their door by the retailer’s staff certified by CanSell, an Ontario-based cannabis retail education program.

The new service has begun with three retailers: Hidden Leaf Cannabis, Minerva Cannabis, and Shivaa’s Rose.
