From Charleston Post Courier:
GREENVILLE — The desirable side of the towering Verizon Wireless store sign looks desirable enough to traffic on Interstate 385 headed southbound, where the sign is most-visible.
The view from across eight lanes split by a concrete median, not so much.
The dilapidated state of the sign for the store near Haywood Mall now has the city of Greenville demanding removal — or else face fines and potential jail time — while the owner appeals.
The back-and-forth between the Verizon store and the city now stretches the course of four summers.
