How to Cancel Pandora

We’ve all dealt with apps that make it extremely difficult to cancel a subscription service. It is especially frustrating when you think you’ve successfully cancelled a service and yet, when you review your statement, you still see a charge. Adding an app can be done with relative ease, but cancelling it raises a host of other issues. Although this process should be easy, customers end up having to jump through hoops to get what they want. In this article, we’ll explain how to cancel your Pandora service subscription and how we can help if you run into any issues.

Pandora is supported through IOS devices, Androids, and Desktops. Pandora is unique in that in order to cancel your subscription from the app, you must complete the cancellation steps through the vendor with whom you created your account. Trying the cancellation steps on your phone or tablet will not cancel the plan. 

In order to cancel your Pandora subscription through an App:

  1. Open the App Store app
  2. Click your Apple ID at the bottom of the sidebar.
  3. Click View Information. You might be asked to sign in with your Apple ID.
  4. On the Account Information page, scroll to the Manage section. Then click Manage (next to Subscriptions.)
  5. Choose your preferred subscription level, or select Cancel Subscription. You may be asked to confirm your selection. (If it says “Select an option to re-subscribe,” you’re already unsubscribed from your subscription.)

In order to cancel your Pandora Subscription on an IOS Device (this encompasses iPhones and iPads):

  1. Go to the home screen and click settings.
  2. Click on Apple ID at the top of the page.  
  3. Click on Subscriptions. 
  4. Select Cancel Subscription
  5. Once you’ve made your changes, press done.  

In order to cancel your Pandora Subscription on Google Play:

  1. Go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
  2. Under Subscriptions find Pandora.
  3. Click Cancel Subscription then follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation.
  4. You can also get in touch with the Google Play support team directly.

In order to cancel your Pandora Subscription on a Desktop:

  1. Sign in to your account on a computer (not a mobile device).
  2. Go to the Subscriptions page. (You can also access this from the Settings menu.)
  3. Select Switch Plans.
  4. Click Cancel Subscription in the bottom corner of the screen.
  5. Enter your current password to confirm the cancellation of any future subscription payments. Your current subscription benefits will be active until your expiration date.

In order to cancel your Pandora Subscription through Kindle Fire:

  1. Unfortunately, Pandora does not have access to Amazon’s billing system, so they cannot assist with managing any payments made through Amazon.
  2. If you’re being charged for your subscription through Amazon (e.g., if you upgraded from a Kindle Fire or an Android device with the Amazon Appstore), please use the following directions to cancel your subscription: 

In order to cancel your Pandora Subscription through Kindle Fire:

  1. From your Kindle Fire device Home Screen, press Apps. Select Store.
  2. From the store menu, select My Subscriptions.
  3. Tap on Pandora.
  4. Turn auto-renewal off to cancel your subscription. 
  5. Cancel your subscription from the Amazon Appstore on an Android device:
  6. Launch the Amazon Appstore application.
  7. From the Appstore menu, click on Subscriptions.
  8. From the My Subscriptions screen, click on Pandora Subscription.
  9. From the Subscription screen, you can turn auto-renewal off to cancel your subscription.
  10. For additional help contact Amazon Support.

In order to cancel your Pandora Subscription through Roku:

  1. To cancel your Roku subscription:
  2. Go to https://my.roku.com/account/subscriptions.
  3. Select Unsubscribe next to Pandora.

In order to cancel your Pandora Subscription through AT&T:

  1. To cancel a Pandora Premium subscription that you’ve added to your AT&T Unlimited Plus plan, contact the AT&T support team

In order to cancel your Pandora Subscription through Sam’s Club:

  1. We’re unable to provide billing support for Sam’s Club subscriptions.
  2. To cancel a Pandora subscription purchased through Sam’s Club, you will need to manage it from your Sam’s Club account settings.
  3. If you have any trouble, you can reach out to the Sam’s Club support team for further assistance.

Here are some common issues that come up when customers try to cancel their subscription:

You should also keep in mind that the Pandora app is unable to manage subscriptions or trials purchased through Apple, Amazon, Roku, or carriers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, etc. Pandora cannot cancel those subscriptions or trials, change your subscription plan, or issue refunds for subscriptions purchased through any of these app stores. You would need to contact these service providers directly!

Many customers complain that their membership status still indicates it’s active even after the customers have cancelled. 

Refresh the page! This should update this issue. The cancellation date will appear, along with a link to your credit summary and an offer to start back up again if you decide in the future. The surest signal you have that you have cancelled your membership is the email confirmation that would have been emailed to you.
