How to Get Better Sprint Customer Service

Not getting results from Sprint customer service? You may have options to escalate…

Telecommunication companies don’t make it easy to receive good customer service. It’s likely one of the reasons that more and more consumers are forsaking their traditional cable companies for digital, more affordable options.

Like many cable, phone and internet companies, Sprint is losing customers. Despite this, it’s still a struggle to get the customer support that you deserve. Although Sprint provides many of the traditional methods of reaching a customer service representative, you may still have options if the company doesn’t get you the results you want.

Calling Sprint

When it comes to calling Sprint, there aren’t many phone numbers to try. The company’s dedicated customer service line is (888) 211-4727. There are a few tips to ensure your customer service phone experience goes smoothly.

  • Have your account information ready. This typically includes your account number, the e-mail address you used to sign up, any error codes, and a brief description of your problem.
  • Try to get in contact with a real person. For large corporations like Sprint, having an automated phone system frees up agents for more complicated calls. You’ll have to either choose to go through the phone tree until you find an option that requests a live agent, or you can try pressing “0” to reroute you automatically.
  • When you do reach a live agent, make sure to treat the agent with respect.
  • Many agents must follow a script or attempt to sell certain products or services. Be ready to repeat yourself, as some companies require an agent to be told “no” three times before giving up.
  • When dealing with shady telecommunication companies, it’s important to keep good documentation. When calling Sprint, have a pen and paper ready. Take down confirmation numbers, names of agents, and any other reference numbers. When possible, request a confirmation e-mail.

Online Customer Service

Sprint has a customer service chat option, which is available 24/7. At first, a chatbot or “virtual assistant” assists you. You can request a live agent at any time, but you’ll be required to specify what kind of issue you’re having.

In addition to the live chat, Sprint customers may find help on the Sprint community forums. This isn’t the quickest method for receiving help, so it’s recommended to only try this option if your issue isn’t time-sensitive or you haven’t received help from other sources.

If none of the get you good customer service, you can directly message the customer care team at customercare@sprint.com. This is a great option for issues that require in-depth explanations.

You can also reach the corporate offices at executive.offices@sprint.com.

Reach out on social media

Lastly, you may be able to get Sprint’s attention by reaching out on social media. Sprint has several social media accounts over multiple platforms.

  • Facebook: Sprint’s official Facebook account is very active. Not only is there typically a post every day, but customers leave hundreds of comments in a matter of hours. Sprint’s Facebook account attempts to respond to the majority of the public messages.
  • InstagramSprint’s Instagram account is very active. Although it’s not the best place to receive customer service, it appears that the customer care team attempts to address public comments.
  • Pinterest: Sprint even has a Pinterest account. It’s not very active, and it’s not recommended to go there with your customer service issues.
  • Twitter: Sprint’s official Twitter doesn’t respond to customer service complaints. However, the Sprint’s customer care Twitter  account does respond to customer service complaints.

Other Customer Service Options

Sprint has several stores across the nation. If you live near Sprint location, you can receive in-person customer support. For those who aren’t comfortable with written communications, this is a great option for getting your customer service concerns heard.

Customers can also leave reviews on sites like Yelp, Google, and ConsumerAffairs. However, it’s important to note that Sprint doesn’t typically respond to customer reviews.

When Sprint Doesn’t Listen, We Do

If you’ve tried calling, messaging, and contacting Sprint’s social media, it may seem like you can’t get anyone to listen. However, you have other ways of getting Sprint’s attention. Many companies include a clause in their terms of service contracts that prevent customers from filing class-action lawsuits against them. Instead, you have the option of pursuing consumer arbitration, which is a simple legal process that can result in a cash settlement.
