How to Cancel Tinder Gold Subscription

We’ve all dealt with apps that make it extremely difficult to cancel a subscription. Cancelling a subscription from an app should be likened to a maze. It can be puzzling, confusing and frustrating. So how can you cancel Tinder Gold?

Tinder Gold is supported through IOS devices and Google Play (for Androids).  Tinder Gold is considered an upgraded version of the basic membership. You should keep in mind that your billing statement may not list the charge as Tinder. This is because Tinder does not bill you directly, in actuality payments are handled through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. 

If you are using your phone, cancelling your Tinder Gold subscription can be relatively simple. You should note that your services and fees will continue until the end of the billing period. For instance, if you cancelled your subscription mid-month, your services will still continue for the rest of the month because that was the end of your billing cycle.

In order to cancel your Tinder Gold subscription from the Google Play Store: 

(1)  Open the Google Play Store app on your Android phone

(2)  Tap the three bars at the top, which indicate the menu

(3)  Select Subscription from the left menu

(4)  Select Tinder

(5)  Select Cancel or Unsubscribe

(6)  You will be prompted to confirm your cancellation and unsubscribe. Make sure to complete this step or your cancellation is not effective.

You will not be refunded for partially used services. Again, your action will cancel any future subscriptions.

Some users have had difficulty with cancelling on their phones. If this is the case, it may be worthwhile cancelling on their website.

In order to cancel your Tinder Gold subscription from Google Play using a desktop browser: 

(1)  Select Subscription from the left menu

(2)  Select Tinder in the center pane and select Manage

(3)  Select Cancel Subscription from the options

In order to cancel your Tinder Gold Subscription on an IOS Device (this encompasses Iphones and Ipads):

(1)  Open Settings

(2)  Select Itunes & App Store and log in using your Apple ID

(3)  Scroll to Subscriptions and select Manage

(4)  Select Tinder and select Unsubscribe

In order to cancel your Tinder Gold subscription on Tinder Online

(1)  Log into Tinder

(2)  Select your profile icon in the top of the window

(3)  Select Manage Account

(4)  Select Cancel

(5)  Disable auto-renew 

Keep in mind that you will not be charged a fee when you cancel. But, you will still have access to the app and they will still be entitled to the payment that has already been taken out for the current billing cycle.
