    Charter Spectrum customer service lied to me about the price and it didn’t work as advertised

    They blew me off twice when i called for service. They said they have web hosting and they don’t. They were supposed to put in a ticket to fix the problems I was having and nobody ever got back to me after 3 tickets an hours on the phone not getting anywhere then yesterday the lady fixed most of my problems but it’s still going to take another 72 hours and they also have a security suite that is not compatible with my iMac

    Charter Spectrum customer service lied to me then charged me after I tried to cancel

    Cancelled service, was told I would not owe any money. 2 days later I had a charge of $200. They said $120 was for equipment and $80.32 was for service fee since they had not received the equipment… once they receive the equipment all charges will be taken off my account. After 7 business days the $80.32 had not been taken off, but the $120 had. I called in, the supervisor apologized and had no idea why it hadn’t come off yet and the spectrum supervisor escalated the charge to their billing dept. After another 10 business days the charge had still not come off. I submitted as fraud to American Express.

    Charter Spectrum service didn’t work as advertised

    Spectrum’s internet speed was much lower than advertised. Spectrum’s internet also lost connection up to 5 times per day, sometimes more. I also had not used the internet service for my final 2 months and was charged anyways.

    Charter Spectrum charged me after I tried to cancel

    When I cancelled all but my Internet service they let me know that last year, long after my initial contract, they implemented a “No pro-rate” policy. So they refuse to pro-rate the month of February (255.48, total bill minus 69.99 to keep internet service.) I was 2 days past their billing date so must pay the entire month for service I no longer receive.
