American Arbitration Association: Brinks Home Security Disputes No Longer Accepted

The Brinks brand may go back to 1859, but when it comes to dispute resolution the American Arbitration Association (AAA) has said that Brinks Home Security is less than reliable.

According to the letter below, uploaded with permission of an individual involved, the AAA is no longer accepting disputes under Brinks Home Security’s contract, because the company won’t pay its bills. (The company is referred to under its official corporate name, Monitronics International, Inc.)

As of the time of this post, Brinks Home Security’s official terms still named the American Arbitration Association as a potential venue, attempting to claim that the company has discretion of whether claims would be sent to arbitration vs. the courts.
