Are you pay too much for your AT&T internet? We can help.
AT&T is one of the biggest internet service providers (ISPs) in the United States. They offer internet access across 36 States, covering much of the West Coast, Midwest, and South. Around 30% of those who have access to AT&T internet can utilize the fiber-optic service which provides better speeds than a fixed Wireless or DSL option.
Speaking of options, AT&T also offers different perks, internet speeds, and value depending on the package you buy. In this article we review what you should be paying for AT&T Wi-Fi and examine the different AT&T internet prices.

AT&T offers access to its fiber network, which has 99% reliability so your internet speed remains consistent |
AT&T fiber gives you three different plans but if fiber isn’t available in your area, you will have to choose a DSL or fixed Wireless plan, which aren’t as varied. |
You can opt for self-installation using the AT&T installation guide and avoid the startup installation fee of $99. |
There is a monthly equipment fee of $10 and you can’t avoid it because they don’t let you use your own equipment |
Technically AT&T does give you an option with no upfront cost if you choose self-installation for your equipment. Be advised that there is the equipment fee associated with your monthly bill for the duration of your contract.
When you sign up for AT&T Internet, you have to sign up for a one-year contract, and you do have to pay an equipment fee. The equipment fee is $10 per month and this is the rental fee you pay for using AT&T equipment which, at the end of your contract, has to be returned to the company.
This $10 fee is lower than most competitors but the company does not allow you to circumvent the cost by using your own equipment.
Most AT&T plans come with a monthly data allowance of 1 TB per month but if you have a limit to your internet and you go beyond it, it can add an extra $10 to your monthly bill for every additional 50 GB, with a maximum charge of an additional $100 per month.
Note: If you use a bundle package, you can have unlimited data. If you have a fiber plan you also get unlimited data. If however, you don’t qualify for either of those, you can still add an additional $30 per month to your bill no matter what service plan you have in order to get unlimited data.
AT&T fiber uses a 100% fiber optic Network which means you can get speeds between 100 and 1000 Mbps assuming it exists in your area.
AT&T fiber is available in dozens of cities throughout the United States and they are currently expanding their Network. You can view the AT&T coverage map to see if your area is currently eligible or will soon be eligible.
Alternatives to this are the regular AT&T internet which is a DSL based service as well as fixed wireless internet services.

If AT&T fiber is available in your area, there are three different plans from which to choose:
To keep your internet cost down you can use bundled services with AT&T. AT&T lets you bundle internet with television and voice as the most common way to save, something they called The Triple Play plan. There is a catch here however, and that is you must lock in for a 12-month contract for all three services and if you, at any point in the future, cancel one of those Services before the end of your contract, it can result in a price increase on the remaining services.
AT&T is not the most affordable internet provider, but it has some of the best availability in the United States out of all the internet service providers and AT&T does have a higher internet customer service satisfaction score compared to other providers.
More than 40% of residents in the United States can access AT&T services including internet and television. In addition to their wide availability and high customer service satisfaction ratings, they are also very popular for the extra incentives they provide such as free premium services when you sign up or gift cards, alongside other promotional offers for bundles.
With an AT&T internet plan you also get access to over 30,000 Wi-Fi hotspots for free and at no extra cost they will include McAfee virus and malware Security on plans that have between 5 and 100 Mbps.
If you signed up for an AT&T internet service but the Wi-Fi cost is not what you agreed upon, or you have encountered hidden fees and AT&T customer service isn’t helping, we can.
