Step-by-step guide to understanding your internet bill

Accessing your bill

There are three ways you can view your Google Fiber invoice. This can be done online, by mail or through the app. Be sure to have your username and password ready to gain access if you are viewing the invoice online.

There are a couple of things you should keep in mind when reviewing your bill. If it is your first bill, it will be higher than your next bill for a number of reasons.

  1. Google Fiber charges for the upcoming full month of service in advance. (Therefore the second month’s service is normally included.)
  2. If you begin service during the middle of the month, then there is a prorated charge for the time when your service was active. Remember that you should be charged only for the day after your service was active on this account.
  3. There are also one-time charges included in this statement. Some examples include equipment purchases, equipment shipping and handling, activation and installation fees.

What’s included in your bill

You should find your name and account number on this invoice. Typically your invoice will contain the following:

  1. Fiber Service for the current month
  2. Charges for additional services
  3. Applicable Government Taxes and Fees
  4. Regular Monthly Charges: This is the amount for your internet services. This is different from the one-time charges posted on your account.
  5. Total Amount: This is the total amount charged to the entire account during the payment period. If you have any charges that are past due, they will be reflected in the total amount due.
  6. Itemized details: This can be found on the third page of your bill and will list all of the charges including taxes and fees.

If your bill is still unclear, there are more options
